Hi, I’m Ryan, founder of SootLoose and from a young age I've always had a love for old stuff like cars, tractors, steam engines and even old trades. Growing up in the countryside on farms I've developed many practical skills which later took me into the world of engineering.

In 2014 i joined the Fire Service as an on call firefighter, something I’d always wanted to try. In the service I learnt many new practical life skills and the science behind fire itself.

It was at this point I decided to build my own business incorporating all the practical skills i had acquired in engineering and fire and so SootLoose was born.
I am now a fully qualified NACS Chimney Sweep, registered stove installer and qualified oil engineer and I aim to bring a common sense approach to de-mystifying whatever problems you may have relating to your solid fuel or oil appliance.
