Chimney and Stove Installation

If you already have an existing fireplace and chimney

The Survey Process
1. We perform a sweep and camera Survey of your existing flue. This is to clean away any soot and creosote deposits that could pose a fire risk after any installation has taken place.

2.Once cleaned we can also ascertain the condition of your existing chimney and check that there is a clear route to install a chimney lining system.

Call to book for just £175

Once we are satisfied that your existing chimney is clean and suitable to accept a stainless steel liner we can then discuss the following;

An estimate for the works will be sent you within 1 week of the initial survey and this will be valid for two weeks from the date sent.
Once we have received your approval of the estimate in writing we would then request a 50% deposit that will be invoiced to you to secure the booking. The remaining balance can be settled on the day of completion and we will then notify your local building authority who in turn will send you a certificate of compliance in the post within 30 days.

NEW HOME FIRE SAFETY CHECK: from £180

Picture this...
You’ve brought a home with a real fireplace, it may even have a stove in it! You can’t wait to get the essentials (bottle of wine) unpacked and celebrate your new chapter in front of a roaring fire. But how do you know if it is even safe to light an actual fire in the middle of your new home?

Time and time again we come across poorly fitted and in some cases dangerous installations that should have been picked up on homebuyer surveys but haven’t.

If you’ve recently moved into a property that has a solid fuel appliance and have not been supplied with a compliance certificate or any paperwork stating that the chimney or appliance have been maintained, then give us a call. If its an open fire, Multi-fuel stove, wood burner, open fire back boiler, solid fuel Rayburn / AGA cooker, we can offer a safety check service that will determine if it is fit for purpose and safe to use.
Any defects will be noted and remedial recommendations explained to you on the day and if needed we can send a quote to you for the works required to bring your existing appliance up to current regulations.

After our visit you’ll know more about what appliance you have, how it should be used, how to get the best out of it and if there are any remedial repairs to do and how best to go about doing them.
